​ Our filmmaking students get right in the action, learning and putting into action each step of the filmmaking process. We put the creative control in the hands of kids and teens. By the end of each session, students will have a finished short film to show off to their friends and family and all the skills needed to start their own filmmaking journey.

Join us for an evening of exploring water marbling with textile artist Mercedez Rex. We will cover a brief history of marbling as well as classic historical patterns before diving in to experiment with basic techniques of manipulating paints on the surface of a water bath. Each participant will have their OWN large marbling tray and time to practice learned techniques and color combinations before transferring their designs to 18 x 24 sheets of paper.

The goal will be to set up an immersive environment for an audience to listen and experience an Album in its entirety with minimal speaking and interruptions. The the purpose is to reach out and build a community around the activities of Touch Collective, Art Island and to raise funds and awareness about the Modular Haptic Dance Floor that we've created.
